NoHo means North of Houston Street. From east to west NoHo goes from Broadway to the Bowery, and it is bookended by East 9th Street to the north and East Houston Street to the south. The historical district has 125 buildings. You will see terra-cotta and brick loft buildings, along with architecture projects that resemble the Greek Revival style. In the 1960s, NoHo became home to famous artists such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith, Chuck Close, and Andy Warhol.
