Kips Bay is bordered by Murray Hill to the north; Madison Square Park, Nomad, and Rose Hill to the west; and Gramercy Park to the south. The neighborhood runs from East 34th to East 23rd Streets and from Second Avenue to the East River. Kips Bay was the site of the Landing at Kip’s Bay during the Revolutionary War, taking its name from the East River inlet where the neighborhood developed. You will find high-rises, restaurants, and shopping. Access to transportation is via the crosstown buses at 23rd Street and 34th Street and the subway on Park Avenue.
